it's almost as if Clive Owen's character in "Closer" migrated to the U.S.
and somehow got involved in some more extra-marital shenanigans.
the "james bond that almost was" actor once again finds himself in a complicated situation,
and this time, his life is in grave danger.
all the while, i thought that this was a thriller about a runaway train.
hahaha!
it turns out that this movie is a violent sexual drama very much in the mold of Fatal Attraction.
Jennifer Aniston surprisingly makes a very effective, and somehow vulnerable temptress.
it's a very entertaining diversion.
don't expect any great cinematic achievement,
but it's certainly a fine way to relax on a saturday afternoon DVD marathon.
aside from Clive Owen,
i think the only other actor who comes close to perfectly playing the "aggrieved/vengeful family man",
is Kiefer Sutherland.
these days, these two certainly are the best at "angry cursing" in Movies and TV respectively.
so, consider these two gentlemen as the new Harrison Ford and Michael Douglas.
which makes the forthcoming THE SENTINEL,
with Sutherland and Douglas co-starring,
all the more interesting.
