i got this pDVD in Quiapo last week,
and planned to watch it in a doubleheader with Scary Movie 4.
Scary Movie 4 sucked.
The best bit was at the very start of the movie,
with (soon-to-be NBA Champion!!!) ShaQ and Dr. Phil spoofing SAW.
The reason why I viewed SM4 first was simply because it had the funnier trailer.
Date Movie's trailer was nowhere as funny,
and was actually pretty darn corny.
So reluctantly and with great trepidation,
I popped in the dibidi last night.....
it was 75 minutes of so-bad-it's-good fun!!!
from Jerry Maguire to Peter Jackson's King Kong and LOTR,
from My Big Fat Greek Wedding to Kill Bill,
from Bridget Jones to any romantic comedy starring Hugh Grant,
almost all of Julia Roberts' chick flicks,
and a sensational scene featuring Player's "Baby Come Back",
the joy of watching this movie is in being quick enough to identify which film is being spoofed.
lots of Special Features in the pirated version,
including several excellent deleted scenes that should really have been retained;
and an ironic DVD first,
an "Anti-Commentary" by two real-life Los Angeles Film Critics who dis the whole movie. Good stuff!!!
and Sophie Monk.....
this babe-a-licious Aussie babe's presence alone is worth the price of the dibidi!!!
Watch it with a shallow (hal) mindset and you won't be disappointed.
You'll crack up!!!!
