I think all of the Top 11,
instead of studying the songs,
and really understanding these Beatles classics,
probably gossiped about the $48,000,000
that Paul's ex-wife Heather will be getting.

That divorce settlement was an insult to Sir Paul,
and this whole episode was an insult to the Beatles:



Skunk Lady groaned/screeched through Back In The USSR,
(haller! it was a Beach Boys homage by the Beatles, girl!
The song is all harmonies, lady, NOT discordant vocals)

Horse Lady totally went out of control and couldn't find
the melody of You've Got To Hide Your Love Away,

David Archuleta turned Long And Winding Road
into a Loooong and Boooooring Song,
all technique, no real emotion.

Michael Johns had another bad week,
and seemed confused by the complexities of A Day In The Life,

Brooke was just plain awkward
when she flopped around like a wilted sunflower to Here Comes The Sun,

David Cook, after two great rock weeks,
turned Day Tripper into a generic heavy metal Bad Trip.
(tip : ask Peter Frampton to teach you how to use a guitar talk box properly)

Carly looked like a "scary witch in the deep dark woods"
when she sang Blackbird like a threat,
and not like the hopeful song that it really is,

Jason Castro was just plain sloppy and just joked around,
missing the plaintive tone of Michelle entirely,

Chikezie started out well,
then I've Just Seen A Face turned into
the O, Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack,
Oh Brother!!!

and then, to top off all most JOLOGS night in AI history,
a true BADUY masterpiece:

Ramielle Malubay chanelled Winnie Santos/Maribel Aunor in the night's last performance, from the outfit to the dance steps,

and I was half expecting to see
Dondon Nakar and Arnold Gamboa come out and dance with her onstage.
